Great Danish Designers exists to make that talent easy to find: one curated list of great designers in Denmark, sorted by name, searchable, and filterable by discipline.
The list focuses on the people designing today: digital product designers, UX and UI designers, brand and graphic designers, motion designers, design systems specialists, game, 3D and AR/VR designers, and design-minded front-end developers working in Denmark. It is curated, not crowdsourced. The list started as a private collection kept by Kasper Svenning, a designer based in Copenhagen, of the Danish designers whose work he kept coming back to, and it is still maintained the same way - one name at a time, based on the work.
Yes. Anyone can suggest a designer through the submit form. You need their name, their LinkedIn profile and ideally a link to their portfolio, and you can submit yourself or someone else. Every submission is reviewed before it appears on the list.
Yes. There are no ads, no paywall and no sponsored placements, so nobody can pay to be included or to rank higher. You can also export the full list as a CSV file.
Simply resubmit your details through the submit form and your existing entry will be updated. You can also just write to me on LinkedIn or send an email to hello@greatdanishdesigners.com with what you would like changed.
Just ask. If you would rather not be listed, reach out through the menu in the top bar and you will be taken off, no questions asked.
Danish design is usually described as functional, restrained and human: simple forms, honest materials and a strong sense of craft, from the furniture and lighting tradition of the mid-20th century to the digital products being designed in Denmark today. The designers on this list work in that same tradition.
